Molybdenum Tubing Features
Molybdenum is a refractory metal whose melting point of 4753°F (2623°C) is exceeded only by tantalum, osmium, rhenium, tungsten and carbon. It has good workability, high temperature strength, corrosion resistance, and excellent thermal conductivity. Molybdenum tubing can be a good choice for thermocouple protection tubes for many applications from room temperature to over 4000 °F (2204°C), depending upon the atmosphere. It can safely be used in vacuum, inert or reducing atmospheres.

*The minimum inside diameter shown is calculated based on tolerances for the outside diameter and wall thickness. The actual inside diameter may be slightly smaller than the figures shown in some localized areas. If your application calls for insulators with diameters that vary significantly and/or approach the ID shown, please check with us before placing your order to ensure we can select material that meets your requirements.
